Since yesterday the ad had been changed to say "There are now conflicting reports to suggest this car might be a cat C and this is being investigated.
Hi have the HPI report.
Category C Insurance loss Vehicle extensively damaged but repairable
Insurer decided not to repair 23/01/2009
Just looked at the ad again and it is saying that the car is HPI clear and that they have the report to show a prospective buyer.Since yesterday the ad had been changed to say "There are now conflicting reports to suggest this car might be a cat C and this is being investigated.

Hi all. I managed to nab the silver one. condition was very accurate with the 3 out of 5 star rating to say it needs care all round, but the chassis is solid with no rust visible. Engine runs well and from what I can see has a long history in the paperwork. My plans: it needs a re-spray so probably in the winter, interior is good with no tears so been giving it some attention with a bit of elbow grease and leather restorer. The laquer is gone so that will need to be done too. Thinking of wrapping it and ordered wrap to have a go and see how it turns out. Carpets are old so will need striped and replaced which I plan to do at home in the autumn. Bonnet is not alligned well at all and the hinges may need some attention. Overall a solid car and I am all smiles. Will be taking it down a lot of scottish roads this summer and enjoy it.
I have so far fitted a new single din unit so i can listen to spotify, new speakers for the front and I'll be installing speakers at the back as it has none. been checking over all the electrics to ensure it is all solid too.
speak soon, Paul

Hi and welcome to the world of TVR S ownership.
Looks like you got yourself a very nice car there. If I hadn't bought my S1 in Feb (at auction as well) I would have been sorely tempted to have a punt on yours. What area of Scotland are you in? I'm over on East coast side so if you're anywhere nearby you might see me out and about in my car (sun permitting).

Welcome to the wonderful world of 'S' ownership. You have miles and miles of fun in front of you.
There is a group of 'S' owners doing a tour of Scotland in September. Maybe you could meet up with us somewhere?
X 2 - that's a proper DIN

What?! Sounds like you need a proper exhaust system first X 2 - that's a proper DIN
Hi Paulo & welcome
Before you go chopping large holes for speakers in the rear bulkhead, you may wish to consider this most excellent mod first:
Alan's Roof Stowage Enclosure modification, or A.R.S.E. for short
It's a cunning and brilliantly simple mod that cures that.target roof stowage problem in a cost-effective manner and frees up boot space for topless touring.
l'll try to find a link for you....
Here you go!

There's been a group of 16 up in sterling this w/e and we met up with a few of the central Scotland owners at Broomhall castle.
That would be nice. I'd be up for that next time round. Is there a Scotland group here? I am sure I will eventually find but but post the link here if you can. There's been a group of 16 up in sterling this w/e and we met up with a few of the central Scotland owners at Broomhall castle.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, thus years EuroTour is in Scotland but not sure if the routes yet but maybe a meet up on that could be arranged.
