Hi All,
Project is progressing well. I have most of the bits required to build the car now except a T5 Gearbox, but that is just a matter of time, but was just wondering if any one has any experience of "Wilwood" braking systems. If you look on Rally Design's web site they are offering a Sierra Kit for £567 including discs. That seems good value for money to me as AP Racing's version is over £1000.
Trouble is I have no experience of such items, does any one else or has any one used anything similar?
Also, does any one know of a modular alloy wheel manufacturer other than Compomotive. I want to duplicate the TVR standard 7 spoke wheel (as much as possible) but in three pieces, so the spacings can be played with.

I'm using them, one disadvantage is they don't have dust seals so if you go off-road a lot they might not last too long, but I've done about 30k miles with mine so far in all weather no problems. Only problem I had is the low cross section pistons, designed for minimal thermal transfer from the pads, actually cut into the back plates pastry cutter style when I wore the pads down to the back plates and got them really hot. Made removal of the dead pads quite interesting!
Cheers,
Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)
Looking into the Wilwoods myself, a freind had them on a tuned Cavalier GSi 2000 and they were very good.I was looking at getting a set of modular wheels a while back and have not found anyone to do them, let me know if you find anyone as I would be interested in a set too (keep cost down etc)
