Id definately want a set of stalks for my S2, and they couldnt be much dearer than the silly prices that Fords want for a set of Escort ones.

Hi Pies

Do like us and phone Leven if your interested and not going to Mania. If they get enough telephone calls/stand visits from interested parties then they may be confident enough to proceed with prototypes.

We took Julian's advice and went our own route. Black diamond disks and pads all round coupled to XR4i calipers with Goodridge braided hoses from Peninsula (they have the pattern and get them made to order any colour you like!!!). We'll let everyone know how it goes. We also decided to fit poly bushes from RT racing. Hard as nails and apparently that's a good thing. Standard poly bushes are softer than the originals and you gain v. little/nothing.....or so i'm told. The car's at David Batty's place as we speak then it's off to Tom Horsburgh for some cosmetic work. It seems it will be away for a while yet!!!

Just wanted to let you know that its well worth it, mine were done some months ago at RT and the difference was amazing - stay on the road most of the time now

Have Leven mentioned any 'ball-park' figures for these stalks yet ?

Yes. The cost should not be far off the cost of the Chimp/Griff sets as long as the original switch gear can be used. If not it may be more expensive, but not that much. At the end of the day the stalks in the S are THE cheesyest things in the car.....I can't wait to get shot of them and will pay any reasonable amount to do so.

Hmm, i think the plastic escort type steering column casing and the heater controls are the worst parts of the S interior !
Has anyone managed to make these look better?

Hi guys,

Well last chance to get these stalks into production. NOBODY spoke to Leven at Mania (crap as it was!) and NOBODY has phoned to express interest.

If everybody who is interested in these things doesn't get off their arses and Leven soon, then this project is dead and buried.....and with it any others specifically for the S. Lets face it, if after all the about how much we all want these things made, people can't even be bothered to pick up the phone, what chance is there of any other projects being considered. It takes money to develop these ideas and if we label ourselves as tight-arsed , they won't want to take the risk.

Kevin

Incidentally Leven have been bitten like this once before.

Right you guys, let's get on it - Kevin's right, act now or forget it!

I've called Leven and stuck my name down, and here's the idiots ( Oi,who are you calling an idiot ) guide for you all to follow suit:

Call on 01268 281611, or
email: info@leventechnology.co.uk

Leave your name, daytime contact number, and your S variant.

Leven reckon the set will be around £60-£85, but only if enough people register, so what are you waiting for?

I've told them that there's 4 pages of interest on here, so there should be lots of people contacting them, so lets make it happen peeps!

Yeah, but the lady in the office asked me to get this lot from the thread to call/email the office - she chewed Kevin's ear about it, so I still say call, unless you know better mate??
