Hi All
Over the last couple of weeks my S3 has developed an annoying flat spot, it mainly occurs at low throttle in high gears when you accelarate gently the motor dies, then as you put your foot down to about 1/4-1/2 throttle it picks up with big lurch.
It will tick over fine at 1000rpm, does this sound like the thottle pot throwing a wobbly? or are the any other checks i can make?.
Thanks
Dave P

Thanks for the reply,
Went out today in it, had a couple of flat spots when cold ( its allways had flat spots when cold) when it was hot i drove about 20 miles and did not miss a beat. Yesterday i removed all the connectors to the engine sensors and air flow meters and reconnected them, also disconnected the battery for 2 mins to reset the ECU.
I had previously adjusted some slack out of the throttle cable, i put this back to where it was.
I will just have to see how i goes from now i guess.

That might be enough to fix it.. Everyone I've been in is a little flat when cold. Not seriously so, but just enough to notice it. One of the things Joolz did was adjust the throttle cable properly. Could be thats the common denominator in the problem..
Dirty connections on electics round the engine also would cause the odd problem once in a while; can of WD40 makes its home in my boot these days..
