Can anyone tell me were to get "uni-joints" for my S2 drive shafts. I am getting a clicking noise when I put any type of power on. What "parts bin" did TVR get the drive shafts from (I am assuming it was Ford)as it might make it easer to get the parts.

Thanks all

When I changed mine they told me (at Fords) that they were XR4x4 bits. I might still have the boxes at home if you need the numbers.

I think the CV joints are from a Sierra.

They are Ford XR4i / XR4x4 Lobro type CV joints.

I bought mine from a motor factors, 100mm OD for the casing, 6 bolt.
Pack with spanking new CV grease (HT molybdenum disulphide) and ensure cleanliness when doing them.

I've just changed mine last week. They are indeed Ford sierra Lobro joints (not Tripode). I got mine from David Gerald TVR 01386 793237. They are very helpful and seem to have a never ending supply of S bits.

On a personal note I don't buy anything from Fords if I can help it as they are ridiculously expensive. Find yourself a good TVR dealer or motor factors and you will be pleasently surprised.

Thanks all. Got cv joint at a motor factors (1/2 the price of Ford) and rear is quiet again except having idleing trouble now (see forum) but it keeps me from having to do house work.
