the restoration is progressing well,almost at the rebuild stage and i need to replace the clutch.will do this as a whole kit(might as well as its all in bits),does anyone have the part number for the kit for the 2.9/type n gearbox?

Don't go down the route of trying to get the numbers for ford parts, trust me, it will end in tears of frustration. Even if you take the bits in to the parts dept they will look up the numbers for you to establish the car, then they will look up the car in the parts ordering system, then they will order the parts for you and they will be different (numbers and size) to the ones you took in. In addition to this the bits you take off will actually be from 2 different cars so they won't sell you a kit and they won't sell you the bits individually because they only sell kits. Repeat the exact same process with a couple of motor factors and then...

...simply phone David Gerald TVR on (0)1386 793237 and ask for the clutch kit for your car including the bearing and he'll post you everything you need for about 130 quid if memory serves.

Then you just need a generic alignment tool and you're away.

cheers mark, bits from two different cars!? should'nt have expected much more thanks for the info should save me a bit of running about.its time to bolt all the bits back on and hopefully get my baby back on the road for the summer ,if we get one.
