Yes, I could get used to meeting other S owners for a natter. I haven't been to any meetings in the 3 years I've had the car, but am definitely going to go to one soon.

Nice to meet you dre, pity the bus driver didn't appreciate the glory and splendour of 2 TVR S's in "his" bus stop.

My wife apologises profusely for suggesting the reason we were in the bus stop was because we had broken down

Cheers,
Ian

Hi Harry,

I might miss it as well, I'll have to try to schedule another one later, or somewhere else in the SE Hants Area. mhowe suggested The Churchill, but the TVRCC held a meeting there many many years ago which was cr@p, so I'm not keen. Any other suggestions from the SE? Milburies and H. Bowman are as far SE as I know.

.mark (I think) was threatening to do another Pie and Beach, down to Hayling, not sure if that's happening?

Nope, we had 21 cars at the evening meeting in June.
Usually get about 8-12 cars, but will depend on the weather! We had about 6 S's (plus the chimps ) in March near Romsey

How's about the Flower Pots at Cheriton. Excellent beer, even have their own award-winning brewery on site.

Thanks I'll look into it , it won't be a for a few months, but I consider Cheriton (and Milburies) to be the centre of Hampshire so SE of there as well. Vaugely considering the home of HSB (Gales in Horndean) for next year - ie can I organise a pi88-up in a (big) brewery?

(Recommendations N,W and other points welcome, but as the Thursday evening meeting is in the NE quadrant, I'd like to get most of the Sunday meetings in the other bits.)

Sorry for doing RO thinking out loud on the S forum - but we have a few S's in So'ton and district.

David
Romsey (SW -ish Hants)
PS Had a call from the TVRCC office last week saying that all our meetings are in pubs - mine's an orange and lemonade!

Did a quick recee on Sunday in the S - Pub closed at 6pm!

Yep reasonable size car park, consult calendar - last Sunday (31st) in August looks good, lazy RO had decided that Tuscans at Thruxton was enough, but 5 Sundays in August! So 31st of August, let's get a few S's out, See you there, assuming, if I go, that I get back from BDC (Bentley) Day at Silverstone!

David
PS I'll invite the Chimp section! (ie All TVR's welcome!)

If I'm to get it in August Sprint I'll have to write it up next week. One downside of a print based club - the long leadtimes. I'll post up a reminder on General TVR nearer the time.

LeMans: I know Dicky, Crimson King and LostBoys go most years, they were there this year. Suggest you have a chat with Richard (Blue Tamora) during the year.

Be good to see lots of Tivs and Ph'ers in Hants again. If I'm about next year count me in for a 'regional' Le Mans gathering... In fact, as there is quite a buzz from the other PH'ers in the south it may be an idea to have a Hants PH grouping incorperating Tivs, Morgans, MG's 'Vettes, rice rockets etc? Might add to the diversity and interest and would increase the chances of someone offering to carry my BBQ, Gazebo and swimming pool! After all, we are just petrol junkies irrespective of brand!

Well the email with the report for Sprint got lost in the ether, anyway still planning a meet at the Flower Pot on the 31st. You know So'ton S Series Supporters Summer Sunday ... no stop that's enough. Do we want to do a run first, say meet Wickham first and then wander over?

I have been looking to go to a Tiv meet to learn a little more about an S3.

I live in Fareham so can easily get to one of these meets. Can anyone take me for a run in their S?
