S4C Bonnet Stud collapsed in to bonnet
Discussion
I have a 10 yr old S4 and the base of one of the springs that holds the bonnet down has collapsed in to the bonnet. The same thing happened a few years back on the other side and a local mechanic (no longer around) did the job for me. If I wanted to do it myself this time, how do I go about securing the base of the stud in to the bonnet?
Any ideas would be appreciated

I'm guessing based on my old S2, that you have a small metal frame glassed into the corner of the bonnet and the bonnet mounting pin is bolted into the frame. In which case it's just a matter of replacing/straightening the frame and re-glassing to the bonnet. If yours isn't already like this, this seems the easiest DIY solution.
