Very very useful very very clear, should this be moved to FAQs?

Thanks Han

Yes this should be moved to FAQ, but Big AL is already working on it. See FAQ topic

Superb Reference Han, well done.

heres a link for poor people like me who want to fit rubber hoses... the RH1888 and RH1702 hoses as bought.

Yep, some excellent info there. Now we have to fill in some gaps. Sorry Kevin but just to confirm, my factor friend Steve rang QH today, RH1888 and RH1702 are no longer available and QH wont be re-manufacturing. What I did however find out is that Gates (probably better known for drive belts) do still make a very wide range of hoses and I have been lent their catalogue. What a nightmare!!!! Steve has arranged to get in a couple of possible hoses to 'lend' me to see if they would be suitable. Mine is of course a 2.8 and I do recognise that there are significant differences in coolant piping.
On the 2.8 there is, for example, an 18mm pipe from the back of the thermostat housing up to a steel spigot under the water outlet housing on the top front of the inlet manifold. I am trying to source that one first as it is going on before I re-install the engine!

I'm just in the process of fitting my silicon hoses.

In the above picture the 2 shorter pipes replace which numbers on the exploded view?

The second from the left labelled 13, seems to be to long to replace item 27 in the exploded view and then what is the right hand short hose for? or does the right hand hose replace item 27 as that seems to be a better length for that item.

Hello Russ,

Working from Han's photo, the 16mm hose on the left makes hoses 31 and 35. Hose 31 can be routed above the alternator like the original. The 13mm bore hose second from left doesn't fit anywhere.
The 8mm bore hose second from right does hose number 26. The 8mm bore hose on the right is hose number 27. Hoses nos 28, 34 and 36 are not supplied.

I arrived at this after much head-scratching, correspondence with Han and a discussion with Tim at ACT. Hopefully this will save you some time!

Regards,
Graham

Thanks Graham,

That's what I had come up with.

Just wanted to check before somebody at a get together points to a hose and asks why I didn't change that hose after doing all the others!!
