Hello, Anybody actually fitted 225/55/15 So3's on a V8S ? or 205/60/15 Yokohama A539 or AVS sports. I have RE71's but don't get a lot of grip off the start at sprints.

No, but I'm running 225/45/16 S03pp at the moment. Very happy with them. The 15" rims are narrower and I think 225 will be too wide, I'd go with 205/55/15 if I were you. (I've got a set of these too, but it handles better with the 16s.)

225/50/15 will fit. The Ultra High Performance (UHP) tyre market does not make tyres in 60 section profiles - this rules out S03s, F1s, AVS etc. so forget the 60 option.

Ah, there is the problem. It seems the AVS Sport and A539 ( both in blue book list 1a ) are available in 205/60/15. The SO3 isn't. I am told the S03 pp is the best choice, and will take advice and go for the 225/55 but to me it looks a bit tight against the rear swinging arm. Before ordering them I would like to know if all the moving bits stay clear of all the fixed bits.

You can get 225 section tyres on the rim, but that doesn't mean that's the best size. If the tyre is too wide for the rim, it will distort under cornering loads messing up the handling and losing grip. 205 is just about right for those 15" rims - they will work better as well as costing less than the 225 ones. If you really want 225 section tyres, you might consider changing to the 16" rims which are half an inch wider and will take the wider tyres.
