Fog Lamps for V8S?
Discussion
Hi
We had the same problem on our V8S. Our lamps were driving lights rather than fogs. Check which ones you have. The list price for the Lucas items is just over £38 +VAT but they are rare: Even Lucas have them on back order. I am led to believe that they make them in batches and are still giving lead times of at least 3 months until they can deliver. There are stories of them quoting the same 3 months ago. If you find a set buy them quick.
For info TVR have several sets in stock but they want £85 +VAT.....I couldn't bring myself to pay that. You may find someone else has a set in stock. I think David Batty has a set in stock but I don't know how much he would charge or if he would send them out to you.
Sorry I can't be more helpful but at least you know how much they should be. we were lucky and got one of the last sets in circulaton.

Yeah - basically they're clear armour plating cut to the same diameter as the spots on the S. If you look here www.tvrcc.com/acatalog/TVRCC_Catalogue_Misc_Items_33.html on the tvrcc website and check out where it says carbodisks - you'll get the idea.
Cheers,

mine were horrible cracked / corroded things .. I've just taken them out and will just fit stainless mesh in their place .. never used them anyway do won't miss them plus the car will have a slightly racier front look to it .. plus saved meself 85 squids by the sound of it .. result!!
Ring make a light the same size with a plastic casing think they were about £25 the pair. you just need to move the fixing point by drilling a hole in the body passing a bolt through the hole with a locknut on the outside this then fixes to your car. May sound like hassle but is dead easy to do
