After popping down to fill petrol, for my Mamoth Drive back to Newcastle, my fuel gauge and oil pressure gauge suddenly sprang to life, after filling petrol, they both stopped. I have concluded that this is down to a dodgy earth and the live wires for both these are fine.
Does anybody know where the earths for these are located so I can check them?
Thanks

The main earthing point is on the chassis in the engine bay just forward of the passenger footwell.
Follow the loom as it comes out of the passenger side inner wing down to the chassis.
I beleive there is also an earth point at the rear of the car close to the spring/damper, but I dont know which side it is on.

Rear offside on mine, but then the V8S has the battery in that corner so probably different. Not that you would ever find two TVRs the same anyway!
LOL no two the same, I have an earth on both sides at the rear, near side for rear lights etc and off side for battery don't you love em......

Rigth, drove out of the house this morning, all gauges working, dorve over a speed bump, oil pressure and fue gauge stopped working.
Dodgy wire.
Have checkd and wiggled the wires to the fuel gauges countless times, the work. Have cleaned off the rear earth point on Nearside, still nothing.
Can't find this one in the footwell, but the engine was hot and I almost burnt myself. Did find a bit where the paint ws coming off the chassis. Will tackle it on the weekend.
