There is some confusion regarding the column mounted switches and possible replacements

The original indicator/horm/main beam switch has the horn switch operated by an flexable link from the button. Havent recorded part number sorry, see below:

While the newer type (as supplied by New Ford Parts has the switch under the button and a pair of wires going to the switch body (part number 81AG613B302AA). This can be a direct swap both connectors and fitting identical to original but with a shorter hazard warning switch and the indicator arm is closer to the dashboard, see below:

There are two types of light switch around, see below:

The one on the right is the original and the one on the left a common replacement again currently available from New Ford Parts. If you fit the replacement type is is a straight swap for the original EXCEPT the light switch arm needs heating and bending towards the steering wheel to avoid fouling the dashboard.

Original type part number is 83BG11K665BA, replacement VO32031(?)

Nice one Norman... As I said some time ago we need more of these Common threads and techie tips converted to FAQ's which appear to have fallen out of use... so we have yours and Hans Hoses FAQ's now.

So, Big Al how do we do this kind of thing normally ? do we PM you with a request ?

Kevin I used the 'report' option on the right hand side to ask the moderators to do it - I think its the easiest way as I'm not sure how often the moderators read each forum.

Ther is also a third type of indicator stalk about, as I have one, which does not have the offset, but has the horn operated by the "flexi". Again the electrical fitting is identical and the matches light stalks to these also clear he dashboard

Once again options are numerous with TVR!!!!!

Third Type below

scratchchin

This is my spare. Straight arm but uses the flexi for the horn.

Yes my original is like the top one on your second set of pictures, hence the reason that I changed the arm as stated in the other thread on this subject, and you were right it was a bcensoredd to do but would produce a better end product than using the spare as you see it because the stalk is too far away from the steering wheel for my liking when "straight". But as I said both have the "flexi" horn push arrangement.
