The strip that runs on the top of the door (between the door and the bottom of the window) - the profile looks like a plane wing withe a quarter inch square on the bottom - and it is glued to the top of the door.

1) Where can I get this - is it the sort of thing a std car accessory place would have? - I've tried that woolies site (www.woolies-trim.u-net.com/doorseal.html) - but they dont have one that matches...

2) should i sand off the old glue before fitting the new strip?
3) what glue is best between Rubber and GRP?

I think that Woolies can get hold of just about any types of rubber seals. I think its just a case of sending a sample to them for them to match. As for glue, any good contact adhesive should do the trick.

I used Loctite All Purpose Adhesive to stick mine down, seems to work really well. I used a matchstick to apply it as it is very runny, coat both the rubber and the door, leave for 10 minutes then press them together.

Just been given a length of this by the guy who fitted my windscreen, drop into your local windscreen place and ask them.
