Fitted my new lighting clusters with not too much hassle (getting the gunk off was a bit of a chore but otherwise fairly painless).

On a positive note they look superb - but on a negative note they've put out of order the offside brakelight and indicator

there are a couple of wires in the middle which look like they should be attached to the (non existant) numberplate light- one red, one black - they are just floating - what should I do with them?

is it likely that something came astray whilst i was un sticking the carpets (wiring loom was well stuck to this...)

Ive heard that the is a notorious lack of earth in these cars - anyone got any quick tips as this has put me off the road

any advice gratefully received!

Check the bulb holders... these are also Ford Escort items and notorious for causing grief...

Cheers Podie,
do they need electrical lubricant - or just a clean?

Usually just a clean will do... watch the connectors... they're not the best design I've ever seen!
