How often would you expect to have to re-allign the doors? presume I use the car every day. My drivers door was done a month or 2 back by the mechanic recommended by the dealer I bought the car off. Its dropped again - is this normal?

But how do you fix it? Assumes that the door are all hung in a similar fashion. May be getting a similar issue with one of the doors on my Chim. Is it a home fix or back to the dealers?

No. Normally, the reason the doors drop is the pivot bolt wearing which happens very slowly (years). If it drops much quicker than this I would suspect the adjustment bolts weren't quite tight enough and it has slipped slightly. Either that or the pivot bolt itself is loose, in which case it may eventually drop out altogether. One of the warning signs for this is a lot of vertical play at the door handle end of the door, although a badly worn pivot bolt has similar symptoms.

IMHO, don't waste an afternoon trying to do it yourself. I did this with very good instructions from here, and made it worse.
David Batty is getting the privilege when my car goes to him for MOT tomorrow.
