Can anyone recommend a garage in the Greater Manchester area?

What for ? If it's a TVR try SFR Engineering in Stockport, Shane isan excellent indipendent or H.L.Gorner in Ashton-in-Makerfield for dealer.

Sorry, I should have said it would be for a TVR, either a late S or early Chimaera.

In that case, as above apply........H.L.Gorner are having an open day one Wednesday in October, pop down and take a look. Shane @ SFR is excellent though IMHO if you're looking for a good independent.

I have had my S serviced by Tony at Compstall Motors near Stockport for the past 5 years.

Excelent mechanic and good value.

After 5 years looking after mine he now knows pretty much everything about the TVR S and has kept a log of part numbers etc.

For example, I have just had an MOT, Full Service and Chassis treated (Hamerited & Stone Chipped) for £200.

If you are localish he will collect and return the car, usually on the same day.
