Think I'm getting used to it. I was like and my passenger was like
... still, bloody good fun, and didn't know an S could sound THAT good when it didn't have a V8 under the bonnet!
It's the little flames I like...!
Sounds like you've made the right choice there. Mind you, I was in Liphook on Sunday, only about 15 miles down the road from David Batty's, but I didn't hear you at all. Must've been cos' you were taking it easy until you got warmed up!
Did you get an entire new system i.e. manifolds and pipes and what was the damage (if you don't mind me asking)?

Manifolds are mild steel... damage? No idea... I find out tomorrow..!
Basically pipes were £400 and de-cat pipes were £50 each.
Well, I've now done about 150 miles on the new system, and it's definately "bedding in". Real rumble at idle.. sounds like a V8, and makes a lovely noise
The "raspyness" is starting to go, and it "booms" less at high speeds under a constant load.
Pops and crackles can be controlled by how sharply you lift off... and if you give some on the loud pedal and jump of the throttle, or blip it hard on the down change, flames have been known to appear.
Slowly going deaf, but who cares.. haven't had this much fun since I first bought her!
Hoping to do the Kent meet next weekend, and will definatley be at the Mid-Essex one the week after. If there's anything else going on, then I'm up for it... and if anyone's passing...
.... any excuse!

1. What's the point of a stereo in any TVR, unless you sit around waiting with the engine turned off?
2. Agree with the high speed noise - lovely howl at 90
3. Ah nuts - just realised that Mid-Essex is presumably on 12th? Coming back from Peninsula weekend special. If I leave Devon early on Sunday, I might be able to get over before you leave the Foresters.
