No that filler neck drops straight down onto the original tank. I'd like a nice shiny stainless one but the original is in very good condition so can't really justify chucking it out wink

Mike

I think you could make a few quid putting some kits together for this conversion.

Yep, I reckon there'd be quite a few takers for the "Phillerpot Mod Kit".
You could even incorporate a stainless cover plate for the redundant aperture. wink

ETA. Or a stainless simple dummy filler cap that bolts in place through the existing holes.
Saves the fiberglass, filler & respray job.....

Just a thought.

Now your talking Glen. A dummy cover, I like it.

I for one would be happy to put my hand in my pocket for a Phillerpot Mod kit. I think this is one of the best mods I have seen on an S, that and the seatbelt mod. Oh not forgetting your bog roll mod Glen

Copy or improve upon as you wish but I'll not be offering a kit.

The odd alteration, modification or change etc. I have made to my car are my own choice at at my own risk. Selling a modification is a whole different ball game wink

Smart bloke! Doesn't seem too difficult...just find someone who can weld a water tight pipe to the existing and put in a triangle shelf smile

It would be funny to keep the original one on there and run it to a water sugar solution smile

Nice idea, but even better: instead of water/sugar, how about urine?
Then anyone who tried to take the pcensoreds ........well they could!
Imagine that first syphon mouthful taste. biggrin

Nite nite folks.
Don't have nightmares. wink

I thought about it, but I was looking more to ruin their motor. However, I think your right about using urine, just make sure it seals the smell in! lol

Nice one Glen. I think we will have to call you 'Bwyan' because you are obviously a very naughty boy. ('Monty Python' ref if you don't understand!)

No Richard,. it's the petrol nickers who are very naughty boys.
I am the messiah. Ha ha!

No offence intended to religious sensibilities.
That's why I spelt messiah with a VERY small 'm' smile

Ha ha, nice one Joe, so you're a classics fan then? wink

No, it was messiah, not Messiah.
Think I'll stick with plain old Glenrobbo thanks.

Austin does sing a song of joy though!

Hi all, new to the forum and very sorry if I've jumped onto the wrong thread.
I am in the process of trying to get my girlfriends S3 back on the road after a period of about 9 years. It's a long and quite sad story that I will not bore you all with.
Long and short is I think (given the cost of unleaded) I would like to change the filler cap for a lockable one,in the original pattern? Did one get manufactured in China?
I will have other questions I sm sure but if anyone can help with this it is a start.
Also I am looking at getting some slave cylinder mounting brackets made as mine was missing and I need one. Would anyone be interested? Not sure of price yet as I guess it will depend on volume.
