I have written a little guide on how to do this on my website here

I will just say its not a technical job just awkward and fiddly

Any comments

And before you ask im not taking it out again for more photo's, allthough I might have some more on disk

I looked at that the other day Colin, I need to take mine out to fix one of the switches but couldn't see how.

Now I can, ta!

No, but my 2 speed fan now works on two speeds not one, and at least one of my fresh air vents is connected to the ducting (I might have dislodged one putting the rad io back in)and the radio now works

Need to re do mine again soon , the higher speed has stopped workling again, its bloody cold at the moment.
Did you manage to find the fan wires, as I've been told its a three speed fan with the two speed switch connected to speeds 1&2, apparently well worth changing them over to speeds 2&3, I'll let you know when I get around to it, .

£100 from LCC

David Gerald will do an exchange dash (i think) for £50 ,details on his website

Been thinking about this Harry surely any change in wiring needs to be done at the fan end not the switch

Yep agree , I was thinking along the lines that its easier to get to the fan with the centre bit removed. There are only two sets of wires on the switch just extra spade conectors on the fan conector itself, sorry for the confusion.
