Quick update.....
Some of us are planning to cross the channel from Dover-Calais with Sea France on Wednesday. I'll be making the journey in the evening after work on the 20.00 boat (currently the fare is £45 return), some are planning to go a bit earlier and some may cross first thing Thursday morning.
I'll find a hotel in Calais over the next couple of days where we can meet on Weds evening or Thurs morning before the journey really starts......

Quick update for everyone....
We are aiming to leave Calais by 8.30am on Thurs 23/9. As mentioned by Tinks, a couple of the group are going to cross Wednesday afternoon, check into a cheap hotel in Calais and get the beers in for the majority of us travelling on the 8PM ferry (£50 return at time of booking a couple of weeks ago). Some haven't yet decided when they'll cross and may even get an early boat or train on the Thurs morning.
If you'd like to come but haven't let me know yet, the closing date to guarantee a place at the hotels and get their best prices is 15/5. You could let me know much later if you want but being able to come will be subject to rooms remaining available with the hotels. Sorry this cut off date my seem early, but it's been set by one of the hotels we are using. Also, the later you book, the more expensive the ferry/train will be
