After a relatively short search (although did look a quite a few cars)I've agreed a price on a 91 S3. Highish miles but everything seems to be sorted. fsh and a small fortune spent in the last couple of years.

Pick it up tomorrow. Can't wait to drive it again!!

All those of you who have encouraged me in this pursuit can feel proud of themselves once I'm eating cold baked beans from a tin inside the cardboard box that I'll be living in when the bills start coming in!

Seriously, thanks for all the advice and guidance and I look forward to many more wise words(and nob gags from a certain PH)

Will post pics in the next couple of days.

See you out there soon!!!

Cheers.

Congrats - you'll have loads of fun.

My S3 has been with LeeBee for a few weeks having some TLC and it's been horrible not seeing it out on the drive each morning. (Sad bunny - but it gets you that way!)

From experience, stay on this site and you'll learn lots.

...now if you'd mortgaged the cardboard box as well you could have had a '93 model

Best of luck with it.

Well done!

High mileage is usually not a problem with these cars, especially if they have been cared for (there are a few dodgy low mileage examples about).

Just in time for the good weather.....when it stops snowing.

the only prob is the fuel gauge works when it wants to.
I have done about 300-350 miles so far and about ten trips to the petrol station

You've got too many digits on that odometer...

Mine reads 00016 this morning

Now who wants a really low milage example
