All ready for my Austec visit tomorrow - getting AVO's, Service and Rolling Road session.

No so looking forward to the M25/M23 journey - I think leaving at 6am should do it though.

This had better be worth it...

Why is it everone else gets to Austec has all the work done in a day . Never been able to do that myself .
Best of luck make sure the AVOs give you enough ground clearance and the front arches don't rub the front wheels under braking.

I didn't know I could have the option! I'm expecting to drop it off, get the train into Town, then collect it Tuesday or Wednesday.

If I get the chance to hang around I'd be most interested though. Better find my camera just in case...

Edited to add: One of my "must have's" was ground clearance equal or better to how it is now.

That'd be playing right in to their hands - "all TVR are unreliable...".

Well, car is there - I arrived at 7:10am , and the M25 was already fairly busy

They put it up on the ramps and gave me a guided tour which was most interesting. The shocks were the worst they had ever seen Nothing left - my suspension is basically my tyres!

Might be ready today, might not. They're one man down due to a motorcycle accident at the weekend which sounded nasty.

Very very friendly bunch of people.

Nah - mine were the worst they'd ever seen - . Your bum and impacted spine are going to thank you on the way home though

Very good people, particularly bad news about the accident.

Hmm Wish I could get the cash together for them to sort out my engine. Stoney broke at the mo.

I have adjustable AVO's, they are set very low in 'track setting' for better handling and havent had a problem.

Just got home - time for a quick post before I HAVE to go back out and enjoy the sun...

Wow! Handles like a totally different car - so much more solid and confidence inspiring. AVO's set high at the moment so the ferry in a couple of weeks should be ok.

Rolling Road gave my S 170bhp, nice Now running so much better, nice and smooth through the gears and even the exhaust note sounds better (that could just be my imagination of course ).

Thank you all at Austec. I'm very impressed.

I had the Rolling Road and tune done as part of the service. No chipping.

Pies:
Max Power Speed: 5524 rpm (107mph in gear used)
Power at Flywheel (corrected): 168.1 Bhp
Power at Flywheel (measured): 168.1 Bhp
Power at Wheels: 125.7 Bhp
Power Loss: 42.4 Bhp
Max Torque speed 3149 rpm (61mph in gear used)
Max Engine Torque: 203.5 lb ft

Max road speed reached in test: 116 mph
Max Engine speed reached in test: 5989 rpm

They said they got exactly 170 bhp by the end. Are these Ok for a S then?
