Gorgeous sunny spring morning here in the south west. Not a cloud in the sky and only a hint of a frost on the ground.

Only one option on a day like this. 06:45, get the V8S out, top down, wake all the neighbours and grin all the way to work.

Looking forward to the trip home now!

Who else is making the most of this fab Tiv weather?

Same here, fantastic weather, roof down and foot to the floor through the country lanes, arrived to work with a big smile!! I started to think of places to go at lunch as soon as I got to work and then which way to go home just after lunch, great open top motoring day!

Today looks the same, a bit foggy at the moment but came in the V8S as its supposed to be sunny later, bring on lunch.

yep. Sat on the train, shut my eyes and imagined the roof down and the wind in my hair.

Gits.

Austec will have my car ready mid-afternoon and I've managed to get the afternoon off from work.

Can we have a smiley with a happy sun please? (Oh, and perhaps a crying credit card?)

I've also been for the lunchtime blast, at the request of a colleague and fellow motoring enthusiast! I think he was suitably impressed... especially by the noise!

Did notice though that some feathered fiend has peppered my bonnet with an unwelcome gift from above!

The lunchtime antics now mean I don't have enough fuel to get home.... oh well, the joys of TVR ownership.

Yes blast up the road to the trimmers to get a quote for a new hood.

Superb, blue sky, roof down.

Putb some "Meguiars Quik-Detailer Mist & Wipe" in the boot, failing that a bottle of fizzy water and shake well and blast it of
If nothing else spit on it the enzymes (sp) will break it down.

Do not just wipe it of a bird crap is usually very gritty

Mate of mine asked if I would give him a lift to pick up his car from the garage near where it broke down last week. Sun's out. OK.

Thing is I'm in Brighton and his car was in Chelmsford!
175 miles of big grinning!(and now sunburn).

What really made my day was most of the journey was at about 90ish, some at 80 and an occassional blast well above the ton (when the road was clear) and she returned just over 30mpg! Ridiculous having all that fun for so little cost.

Still smiling,

Pookie.

Hi Pies,

Naturally. Or did I mean inches per century? I often confuse my units of measurement.

£350 to remove the old one, make up a new one and fit the new one.

£500 for the above and recover the targa panels in the same material.

That was AJ trimming in Bourne End. He reckoned on 2 days to the whole job, he apparently does quite a bit of TVR work. I thought the price quite reasonable.
