Driving through a local village this afternoon, sun shining does it get much better? Yes!
There was a group of 8 or 9 little tots, maybe 5-6 years old with an adult, as I got near they all started waving and smiling, so I tooted the horn, waved back (madly), blipped the throttle went on my way with the biggest grin ever

I had similar returning form IOW. Drove down the ferry ramp to a large group of Cub Sprouts cheering, so I gave them a hoot and a roar as I left.

Of course, they may have been cheering because my exhaust caught on the exit ramp, and I was giving it large revs on the clutch, up the steep ramp to get off... I prefer to think they were just impressed!

Was out in the S3 last night to meet up with Griffy. I pulled up outside her house, just as the sun was setting and a couple of kids had chased the car down the street on their bikes, shouting "lovely car!" and "can you take us for a drive?".

They were out of breath as they were trying to keep up.

Made me grin from ear to ear. Roll on the summer.

Totally agree Ray. I have just spent a week away in Farnham and went down in the S3 - taking it on the longest trip so far. Performed perectly on the way down but today was even better. As the sun was shining I dropped the hood and left Aldershot about midday heading for the M40 to avoid the M25 car park. First roundabout saw a Racing Green T350C on a prob test drive. Waved across the roundabout and next minute he was round the roundabout alongside - what a fantastic sound. Then a three hour trip unable to hear the stereo, waved to two Chimps and a Cerbera, and at the end totally relaxed with a silly grin on my face. Only down side was a couple of instances of prats pulling out to block the outside lane when they saw what was coming up behind - terrible thing jealousy.

Went to wedding at a rather fancy country club last weekend. Car was parked up in the car park overnight alongside a mate of mines 2 year old Porsche Boxter and someones Audi TT.

In the morning some new guests were arriving and admiring the cars. Guess which one attracted the most interest and favourable comments... I Laughed. It did rather p*ss my mate off as he'd only bought his a week earlier and he paid over 30K for it!

Nothing as beautiful as an S!!

Driving home this evening with the roof down from Windsor. A couple of lads were waiting to cross the road and shouted out nice car mister so gave them a wave and a dose of right foot.

Im afraid nothing beats a group of school kids egging you on to 'give it some beans' and then cheering in unison as you roar away!

As a child all I wanted was a sports car, who am I to deprive them of part of the experience!

Slamm,
That wern't breathlessness, they was 'eavy breathing gel, must have been the short skirt.

Ian,
Glad to hear you had a good trip apart from the killjoys, you have the last laugh, you have the Tiv!

Stephen,
Class will always win, what a waste of £24k
