Has anyone noticed how each car has a different note even in standard form?
mine sounds alot deeper than a few i've heard and each of those being different.

How about a 'sound off' at PF??

Drove Slamm's S3 at the weekend, and she drove mine. Both sound VERY different...

Think Psychobert must have the loudest V6 S I've heard...

Only Joking chaps, keep you hair on.....

My down pipes are blowing at the moment

A job for the weekend, it sounds like a drag car...

I heard about PB's car before...

PB's seems like its blowing permanently. When he picked the car up from its previous owner he found about 30 pairs of ear plugs under the passeger seat

The pipe was a custome job IIRC by the guys that make race car exhausts. I thihnk they quoted a flat price, it took them a lot longer to sort than they expected and they won't do any others. Anyone with axel stands and a digital camera is welcome to take photos to see if it can be copied..

It is rather distinctive.

I've a feeling the 24V Cossie engined S will give me some competition though..

its a different note, but not as loud. Cossie does sound good though. And fast

Think I'd prefer not so loud and faster, but in the absence of major engine mods, this will do..

i must say, after a spin in Graham's Cossie S I seriously considered doing the conversion to mine. I just couldnt justify the cost that wouldnt be recovered (especially in the case of my old S) and felt that an ability to at least change and otter switch and brake pads would come in handy if you were going to follow that route. At that time, I didnt have the second car.

If it were now, i dare say I may have followed that route. Go on Simon - Joolz on your doorstep, one of these engines can be picked up for peanuts....

I think the car started life as an S4 which has a slightly different chassis..

This is the sort of thing I'd consider if I had the covered space, (i.e. garage) and a second car. Bit tricky where I live at the moment. That said, plan is to maybe make a move elsewhere as and when, (of is that if) new job gets found. So its an idea for the future sometime, rather than now..
