Front Indicator Lenses new supply available
Discussion
I have been researching in the background for some time to see if I could get some made up but put the project on hold when GrahamS2 identified a supply. I have been trying to get hold of Graham for some time to see what the situation is but without sucess so I have restarted my search.
And have been sucessful!!!!!!
I can supply new lenses, exact copies of the original, but not including the black backs. I will need to order in batches of 24 but can supply in the original amber, or clear, or smoked but per batch.
Cost wise they will be quite expensive at £60each per lens (P&P included) and I will need a deposit up front of £30 (due to my cashflow and bearing in mind I might be spending loads on getting Bob's old S2 back on the road)
So its up to you to let me know if you are interested

Good effort Norman, shame price isn't a little lower but, as we've seen on Ebay, there are people out there who will pay that sort of money for originality, although no-ones come on here admitting to buying them ?
Relative to the cost of a full respray for example its not a lot of money to get end result looking "right"
I have a pair of Grahams safely tucked away and a pair of cheap Nissan ones on the car.
Personally Norman, I support the view that we need to establish a new source for these - accept they are expensive, but how much longer will we see the originals up for sale?? I personally am one of those who go for originality where possible, and when our S's finally realise the classic status they deserve, you can bet originality will be a major factor on price (rabbit ears an all). Top man and job well done. I hope you get supported. I would for that very reason
I think you're all stark raving bloody mad!
You'll scrimp and scrape to save a few pennies on a bolt or something, then you'll blow stupid money on a brittle bit of plastic!
I have original indicators but I might take them off and auction them - I've got a pair of terrano indicatorts that cost me a tenner
Rant mode off.

Personally, I agree with you Chris, I am perfectly happy with my £8 a pair KIA indicators. I think they look better than the originals, and resale value isn't a consideration for me.You'll scrimp and scrape to save a few pennies on a bolt or something, then you'll blow stupid money on a brittle bit of plastic!

But I understand that some people do worry about resale value, or want "originality" (whatever that means for a TVR) T almost any price, and for them, I think Norman's done a great job here, so I'm not knocking anybody.
It's my car, I'll enjoy it how I like. Other people are entitled to do the same.

Blimey! this is nearly as exciting as swirl pot caps!!! You'll scrimp and scrape to save a few pennies on a bolt or something, then you'll blow stupid money on a brittle bit of plastic!

Why knock what other people want to do? Do what you want with your car and let others do as they will.
the way I see it is there are two ways to go
1, have it as original as you can and pay for 'original' type parts
2, keep it on the road with whatever parts are needed whether original or not
if your in number 1 then Norm has done the work for you on the indicators - top man
if your in number 2 then there are numerous alternatives which are cheaper than Norms
and as the years flyby then more and more will end up using number 2 to keep on the road
just drive and enjoy

Agree with the sentiment but as the years flyby and S's become a "classic" I suspect more and people will be looking for original parts. The nature of Tiv's is that they'll always be people doing some "customisation" (other than the factory ) but you don't, now, see many E-types with Sherpa indicator lenses 'cos they were cheaper than the originals... I agree we'll probably go through your number 2 first (awaits the double entendre brigade)1, have it as original as you can and pay for 'original' type parts

Great work to Norman for making one part available again. I agree it'd be nice if they were cheaper but that's the reality of very low volume manufacture. Rapid tooling techniques are making things quicker and cheaper than they were. Maybe in a few years we'll be able to 3D print lenses as a one off in suitable materials - might still be expensive though.
Always good to have a choice.
