Elite Detailing is the same guy who runs the Liquid Car Wash in Knightsbridge and does detailing work there too, so worth a call.....

Have all my cars detailed and regularly maintained by Topaz Detailing as well...canno't recommend them strongly enough!

They are really passionate about what they are doing and the pay always an amazing attention to every single detail.

Since I had my first car detailed there (almost 2 years ago), I send them loads of friends and they are all so happy about the result...their maintenance wash is absolutely perfect and vital to keep the car in good shape after the detailing.

Just picked up my GT3 RS and the result is just stunning!!

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
Left my car with Topaz yesterday.
She didn't seem to upset when I left her with them...
Too excited no doubt at the prospect of spending a few nights smooching an MC12!

Will post my findings on the detailing when I pick the car up

A "Level 2".
But modified so they spend more time on the exterior, less on the interior and nothing on the engine (still shiny from a full rebuild 7k ago).

Full details of what they do and for how much are on Topaz Detailing website: http://www.topazdetailing.com/

I was walking past there on Saturday afternoon and they were pretty busy. Looks like a decent detailing place in W4.

2 Bucket Method, starts at about £20 I think, put you pay for what you get
And another thumbs up from me. Took my CSL there today, great job. Parking is paid for whilst your car is being washed, pop in to Harrods/Harvey Nicks meanwhile, very convenient.

Glad you gave topaz a try, missed the thread earlier otherwise would have also recommended them as a really good bunch of guys.

There isn't anywhere local that cleans cars properly. They are all incredibly bad but thats because where we live there isn't a market for a car wash that costs more than £5. Heck, Upton lane now cleans a car for £3.

I'd do it by hand mate. Learn to clean cars a little by logging onto detailing world forum and reading up a bit. Practice makes perfect.
£3 rolleyes My shampoo costs about £6 alone. Crikey, god knows how bad it must be for £3. As above, do it yourself, it's very satisfying when you spend a couple of hours starting with your pride and joy looking crap and it ends up looking fantastic !

Anyone tried Jet in Hackney?
It's handy for me to drive to, but wouldn't mind hearing from someone who has been there before.

It says call his mobile but its not on the site?

I used to go to Wharfside in Canary Wharf. They do 4 diff types of wash, I used to get the gold, £20 and it used to come back clean and I mean clean. I once asked them to do a full valet as my seats were shocking, £50 and it was like brand new inside. The guy is friendly enough too and remembers you and the car, which is always nice.

As a valet, I would say one of the best in East London. But alas I now live in North London so don't go there anymore but should make the effort to go back, if only for my cars sake!

I live in the city and travel to www.liquidcarcare.com in Knightsbridge to get both my Golf GTI and Porsche 997 GT3 cleaned when ever either are dirty. It's also only a short walk from the shops so I can keep my other half entertained while I get the motor spruced up.

The other huge advantage is that www.elitedetailing.co.uk are in the same place who I have been using for 5 years now. If you are after a quality car wash, go to liquid, if you are after a heavily experienced detailing company, go to Elite Detailing - both in the same building.

I think they were on ITV1's Dirty Britain last month too?

I have had the same issue for a while.. i am a bit anal re washing cars.. scratches and the likes. Most of if not nearly all of the hand car wash in London are rubbish. Including the ones which brand themselves as premium.

I once went to one in a self-proclaimed "prestige" one in Belgravia where the guy wanted to show me that he cleaned his mits regularly : dropped one on the floor and then preceeded to "clean" it by blasting it with the power jet.. obviously sending it around the room collecting all kind of dirt. I thanked him and went away.

Doing it yourself not much of an option.. I used to go to Vauxhal where they have some jets and do it there my self properly.. but constantly got abused by the chap running the service station as i was preventing others from using it wink

Then Gurcharn from Elite Detail launched a car wash facility in Knightsbridge and since then only been going there. Service is impeccable, I know he ensures quality standards are met and the prices are actually competitive. I use Elite Detail for big jobs and Liquid for regular wash. Would not go anywhere else. Plus you leave the car there and can go for a stroll in the area which is actually quite pleasent (careful with the Louboutin shop nearby or the misses might make this an expensive car wash trip).

They recently gave a quick was to my Aqua Blue 991 you can check the result here.

Did you have your 991 in there today? took the Tuscan down for a clean after it got caked at the weekend driving to Cardiff - looking very clean now!

Another +1 from me Gurcharn (who runs the place) loves his cars and is very meticulous. I will be back!
