Hi Guys.

On the basis that PH is quite reliable for such things, a recommendation would be appreciated.

I am planning a business trip to London and will take the wife and children - maybe to see the Railway Children at King's Cross.

Can anyone suggest a good hotel near there which would do a family suite? Ideally it will have a pool.

Many thanks

Well this should do it, won't be cheap though, and maybe a bit 'business'

I have looked at that, but the online booking system says they cannot do it. I might call them though.

Kings Cross is very easy to get to from all sorts of places so I wouldn't worry too much about being on the door step.

As an aside I went to see it a couple of weeks ago with my six year old son....it's a great production.

Great, thanks Cheib, I was hoping someone would comment upon that.

As far as you could see, was there any advantage to either platform?

There is a premier inn opposite Kings Cross with a lovely bar (the waiting room) on the ground floor.

Not sure what is required for it to be suitable for a family - i guess they do family rooms?

Mrs Eleven prefers the children in a separate, adjoining, room if at all possible.

Not at all...very clever production. The stage is set alongside each side of the railway line and then they have moveable stages which they wheel in and out so things happen along the length of the stage on both sides. What I would say is that I would not want to be in the first two or three rows at either end of each platform...I'd rather be a bit further back nearer the middle. We were I think three rows from the front about a third of the way along...seats were great.

No pool, but the Pullman St Pancras is a very nice hotel, had a great stay there recently. Literally minutes walk from King's Cross.

Basically, Kings Cross is the epicentre of the tube network. You could stay anywhere in central London and be in Kings Cross station within fifteen minutes.

What about front row central?

If they're available they'd be superb

The dates I have looked at so far they are.
