Hi all,

I am based in Wimbledon and am happy to travel for a good car wash locally as I float about my business. I am looking for a decent car wash that demonstrates an attention to detail in attitude and products that they use.

I have found a decent place off Armoury Way off the Wandsworth one way system heading towards Putney. They use Auto glym products but their attention to detail isn't 100%

Is that the bunch in the Home base carpark. Took my car there today for its annual wash. It was a real mess but for a mere 12 quid it was like new inside and out.

Half way up Queenstown Road, SW8; signed as 'Julian Hand Carwash' always full of cabbies and I've taken a few cars there.

Seconded.
Other than being stupidly narrow, these guys are alright for a measley £6!

I have taken a few cars there and always see nice metal there.

Having said all that, I am sure the detailer purists will get their knickers in a twist about this HOWEVER they do use washmits.

I've been to these guys a few times. Last time there were no other cars there and I had pretty much the whole team working on my car with real attention to detail. Unfortunately went back today, there were 2 cars behind me and the guys went nuts, one guy started putting the soap on before the prewash was finished. The wash took less than 3 minutes total and the drying was patchy. They also forgot tyre black and to clean one of the door sills which they usually do. I guess best to catch them when they're less busy - then £6 is a bargain.
