Route wise was thinking of taking some inspiration from this thread in the roads section

I'd be looking at Saturday around 11am to early/mid avo, would that work for you?
Pending two major factors for me
1. Domestic authorisation
2. My car currently won't start...
Just had a look through that thread and one of the routes looks great. Anytime on Saturday works for me. I can certainly sympathise with both those point! Any idea on why the car won't start? http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Unfortunately this weekend is now out for me, as part of negotiations to attend PHSS at Silverstone next Sunday. If anyone is travelling up to that and wants to try and assemble a convoy from East / North London I'd be interested.
Id be interested as well coming from Essex. For folks who are interested in convoys: I'm part of a Facebook community that organises regular drives on the best roads all over the SE, but most commonly starting in Herts near the A1, in Bucks near the M40, and in Berks near the M3.
We start early (7 am in winter in 6 am in summer) to make the most of the early roads, finishing before 9 am usually ending in breakfast at a suitable greasy spoon. Always on Sunday, as there is far too much traffic any other day.
We use pre-programmed routes of 70-120 miles, with route files published beforehand for pre-loading onto TomTom or Garmin devices (this is mandatory as we have found it make a huge difference meaning the group does not have to constantly slow down for stragglers and people do not feel pressured to keep up for fear of getting lost). Among the regulars, two-way radios are the norm as well.
The community is heavily vetted and is comprised of sensible, mature drivers with a wide range of machinery represented. What we all have in common is a love of enthusiastic road driving (always with safety and consideration for other road users in mind). Drop me a line if interested.
PS if you respond on this thread I would be grateful if you did not quote me as I will be deleting this message in due course.
