Hello guys, I just joined the forum! I have a BMW e46 330ci and I always thought that it is a very nice car but VERY silent. I want to change the exhaust backbox to make it sound a little bit better and make the car more interesting.

Because it is a low budget car, there is no point to install any expensive exhaust system. I am looking for a low budget backbox.

Any suggestions for any shops that can install a sporty exhaust in South London? Arround Wimbledon even better.

Well, I can find the scorpion exhaust for around 300pounds... so it must be cheaper than that. But the main problem is that I haven't seen any stores around my area that do sport exhausts and have some to see and choose...just small garages.

Why am I wasting my time? I am not looking for any performance increase. I never expected an exhaust to a stock car to be a performance increase...I just want to make it more interesting. In order to put on a full exhaust system it will cost a little more than what I paid for the whole car.

Cheapest exhaust mod on these is a free one - disconnect and plug the vacuum hose on the back box, so the butterfly on the inner pipe stays open at low revs and makes more noise. Might be what you are trying to achieve?

I have thought about it but I still need a shop to install it. I'm not in the mood to diy until the weather gets a bit warmer...

I have done this trick already. Actually my flap was stuck closed so I used hammer & chisel and totally removed it...both my pipes are open all the time now...the change in the sound is minimal...you feel it only in cold starts or when you are stopped near a wall
