I can also do the 24th, as Tina says, my activity day (MG on Track and Lotus on Track do them together) finishes at 4, so no problem getting back.

In terms of location, I'm not fussed so long as I can get there on public transport. The kids are with my parents, but wife is pregnant (again grumpy ) so can't drink. This means if we're doing dinner and vague levels of civilisation she'll come along, but not if we're just out on the lash, so it would be good to know in advance what we're planning!

Um... couple of questions
1) You make it sound like it's all her fault
2) How does your alcohol consumption affect the foetus?

biggrin

1) It's the fault of the poxy bloody pharmaceutical company who manufactured the pill which didn't do it's job! furious

2) More a case of it not being much fun for her if it turns from Pistonheads into Pissedupheads. Nights without the existing kids are rare enough, so it would be a little unfair to leave her sipping water in a corner whilst I join others in dancing on the tables! biggrin

As a place to eat in Kingston, how about Zizi (sp?) the pizza place just off the market square?

If you can find me anywhere in this country that does better pizza, I'd happily go there. Unfortunately this country seems to be pretty crap at pizza in general apart from Zizi.

I'd go for that. I'm supposed to be reducing my alcohol intake as part of a gruelling fitness regime which I promise not to bore you with, so driving would help.

yikes Noooooooo!!!!!! yikes

I'm not wasting a rare opportunity to recover from alcohol intake on Saturday morning by going out somewhere on Friday night that I have to drive to, especially when it doesn't serve good food or beer when we get there!

A few alternative suggestions....

The Barley Mow in Epsom which has decent beer and a nice beer garden if the weather is nice. It's a 10 minute stroll from Epsom station for those doing public transport, or has a back door from the beer garden into a big public carpark for anyone driving.

Drift in Wimbledon for those who fancy the cocktails, decent food and music. Not been there myself, but seems pretty highly rated on the site.

Or alternatively, if anyone fancies travelling further afield, how about the just refurbished Half Moon in Putney? This one is only really a go-er if people like the Jam, as they have a Jam tribute group on Friday night. Given the Half Moon's reputation for live music, I would expect them to be a good tribute band too.

If anyone fancies the latter, let me know asap today or tomorrow morning, and I'll see if there are still tickets available, alternatively, please, please, please vote for one of my other suggestions or anywhere else that isn't a soulless barn to which we would have to drive!

Well obviously Epsom would suit me. However cocktails in Wimbledon would work equally well. There's a lively neighbourhood Italian restaurant just around the corner from there too. I can't remember the street - but I can navigate by 'ginstinct'. drunk

Aaaargh! Where? Consensus please. I'm happy to drive - but also not to. Anyone in Epsom who wants to get shedded can have a lift back with me, how's that?
