Sod it. Let's meet at The Marquis of Granby. Loads of parking. Food's ok.

7pm?
I'd go for that. I'm supposed to be reducing my alcohol intake as part of a gruelling fitness regime which I promise not to bore you with, so driving would help.
can do, if its pissing down I could always drive...
Easy for me so long as it doesn't have large speed bumps. Don't mind giving someone a lift home. They just can't be too big or vomit!

Kermit, as you seem to have that Friday feeling I could give you a lift, us green car owners need to stick together. That would kind of depend where in Surrey you were based though, I'll be starting from Teddington.

Thanks for the offer Mawse, but unfortunately (for the purposes of grabbing the lift) I'll have Mrs Kermit with me. She can't drink at the moment, but sadly she can't drive any more either, so it's not so much a case of me wanting to get hammered, more a case of I normally always have to drive, so never get to drink!

OK, let's try and make this a bit easier, or alternatively, depending our average intelligence levels, a whole lot harder! paperbag

Ladies & Gentlemen... welcome to my first attempt at a proportional representation election! biggrin I've done it this way, as my guess is that with a simple list of "where can you get to", we'll end up with most people saying "whatever's easy" and get nowhere nearer to a decision! laugh

I've put the 3 suggested options below (I'm assuming my longshot attempt to get the Halfmoon into the mix won't take off). Here's what to do.

1. Copy the bit below.

2. Put your name in bold under your preferred choice.

3. Put your name not in bold under your second choice.

4. Later this evening, we count up the votes. 2 points for a first choice, 1 point for a second choice, and we simply go for the most popular.

I take it there is parking near this place in wimbledon, I'll probably need to drive where ever it is, so I don't mind picking a few people up if that helps?

This might change my vote for Wimbledon then, if you're going up the A3.

I'll get the train. There is a car park fairly nearby (next to the Wimbledon Theatre) which is free after 6.30pm if I recall.

So the scores currently stand at 4 points each for the Barleymow and for Wimbledon, although Tina could sway that by actually making one of her choices a first choice! biggrin

Ben - If we do go to Wimbledon, there is indeed parking there just by the station, or you could park in our road, from where it's a 2 minute walk and a 13 minute train.

I think Wimbledon - purely because it's on lots of public transport routes - handy for 'drinkers'. What time? 7pm onwards?

Looks like Wimbledon it is then!

I'll have to leave Mrs Kermit behind and scrounge a lift from Mawse next time! biggrin

See you all around 7 in Drift.

Can I be a last minute pain in the arse and have it swapped from Wimbledon to the Marquis? Reasons:
1) I would really prefer to drive there (10 minute drive rather than 40 minute train journey)
2) Mawse is likely to be out of work late so won't make it to Wimbledon until 9
3) We might be able to encourage Mawse to bring the Mosler... perhaps with a little bit of cheese (see what I did there?)
