Can anyone recommend any good pubs or bars in North London or South Herts?

Quite new to the area, so not many to recommend, but I'm sure it's not short of interesting/historic pubs and decent bars?

Bit of a wide spread

do you want to narrow the area down a bit?

Have Oyster Card will travel. smile

Specifically I'm interested in the very northern most tip really - Enfield area and beyond into Herts, but I can immagine most people will be thinking more centrally?

Nope I'm in France then I'm afraid. City is a bit of a trek anyway at the moment - I live in Chelmsford and I'm in the process of moving to Enfield.

Hi Chris

I suppose Enfield Towns the liveliest place to drink You got the George which is quite cheap (two quid for a JD and coke) and Bar Ten or Rattlers for a later drink.

If you wanted somewhere a little less chavy then Maze Inn is only 5 minutes up the road and a bit more desirable.

Evening pubs I'd say stay away from Enfield Highway (hertford rd) not all the pubs there are st but they seem to want to punch each other in the face after 10ish.

Ive been drinking in the Hot Poles lately seems Ok in there and they show most of the footy games.
