Hi!
Rent definitely falls into that category, though CTax is less than anywhere I've lived before, and my daily CC payment is just 90 pence. So not tooooo bad IMO.

Just back from a trip to Scotland. I've found out where all our tax money is going. Lots of perfectly good road signs (in English) have now been replaced by new road signs (in English and Gaelic). The BBC are transmitting a Gaelic TV channel to about 2.5 people a day. The kiddies cartoons on BBC 2 in the morning have been translated into Gaelic. We all know that the Scottish parliament building cost many times the original figure. Oh, and the Scots are of course now offering free university tuition fees to all except the English.

I speak as a Scot living in London. It's one thing for disadvantaged areas to benefit from grants creamed off the wealthier areas. But they are definitely taking the p**s north of the Border.

Chris and Stephen are scheming up the next North London/South Herts meet over here

Always a good meet with loads of variety and Stephen is a master at devising cross country raids on quiet Sunday mornings.
