Fastlane 2013 is getting ever closer,

Entries are coming in thick and fast now, last weekends sunshine seems to have spurred everybody on,

Both the Porsche Club GB and the Classic Corvette Club have blown previous years numbers out the water this year

Please remember this is not just a club event, all individual entries welcome

We have a wide range of individual entries from a 1969 Mustang and a Jensen FF to a Ferrari 458 and a Pantera plus loads in between

Any questions just ask,

Is there much to do at these shows? I work in Hexham so it's no big deal to come to Corbridge so I'm considdering comming just as an apportunity to take in some rare birds. However, my view on car shows has always been that of a bunch of anoraks smiling next to their set of wheels which they hold higher than their own children as another man with a clipboard slowly makes his way around, inspecting each one even for the smallest imperfection.

Does the competition cost anything to enter? At that, is it even worth entering my 2003 E46 coupe even though it has low milage and it's in mint condition, considdering it'll be up against much "nicer" cars?

2 Weeks to go, looking like a great show this year with a huge range of cars From 60's Mustang's, E-Type Jags and a 1955 Porsche Speedster to an Alfa Romeo 8C, Ferrari 458 (amongst several other's) and a De-Tomaso Pantera. Any more cars out there just drop me an e-mail

You can walk around and look at some nice cars. It's not your average car meet, it's very much a family day out. I suspect that is because it isn't just attended by people showing their cars. You can make of it what you want. I tend to just go with the missus and spend a couple of hours walking around in the sun (or rain) enjoying seeing some nice cars. Some people who go (showing their cars) just sit in them with the missus all day looking bored, with the windows rolled up. Not my idea of a great day out, but as I say, no-one tells you what to do when you get there.

Car clubs go, the North East branch of the RS Owners Club had a good showing last year, bringing loads of fantastic Sierra Cosworths and fast Escorts. The BMW club had a few chucked out of the show after deciding to go drifting on the field. The TVR owners always show up and inspect their cars.

I don't think it costs anything to show a car there or to enter the competition but I don't think they'd let you enter a cooking spec E46. Or else everyone who was proud of their (with all due respect) 'average' car would want to turn up, dodge the £6 entrance fee and park on the field to show off their latest wash and wax! There must be some detailing clubs that aren't just restricted to exotica and performance cars like the Fastlane show where you could enter it?

Hi dave,

Great show and weather not too bad this year. Sorry I had to leave at 2.30; duty calls as they say. See you at the next event.

A few photos from the day. It was a shame the weather was pretty poor, and there seemed to be about half as many cars there today as there was in 2012. A shame, as once you'd filtered through the usual glut of Lotus and TVR's there wasn't much that really caught my eye. Shame there didn't seem to be a single Ford Cosworth either! Were the RS Owners Club not interested?

Just some of the photos I snapped...

Apparently the RS Owners had confirmed they would be attending on Thursday then decided to go on a run to Cumbria instead at the last minute. So its a good job the 'glut' of Lotus, TVR and Porsche owners turned up.

Well done to Dave and his marshals on another well organised event, shame the weather wasn't the best but a good time was still had.

Rain stopped me taking photos today so just a few here. Good to chat with the Pantera owner about values. Definitely wish I'd bought the one I looked at for £20k not that many years ago smile

Yeh, apologies there were a glut of us with hand built, relatively rare, fast sports cars.

Well done to Dave and his fellow organisers for another good show
