Gorman's fish bar is closed

Does anyone know why Gorman's fish bar in Fenham has closed? Just swung by for by for my usual saturday night dinner to find it has closed down!

Giacopazzi is the best - Eyemouth. Then that place on the beach just south of Blyth. Then the one in Seaton Sluice. Gosforth Chippy used to be good but then they sold me Panga...

Tbh I haven't been to gosforth chippy for a couple of years. Shame if it's not so good.

Back on topic, one thing Gorman's is good for: home made cheese savouries. Just wow. I could eat one now.

I was in there last week and there was a notice to say its getting refurb (dont know why its very clean and presentable as it is? I think it was only going to be closed for a week or so if i remember right

Aye, it seems that they're refurbishing the place. I'm confused too, the shop looked nice enough, clean and not at all dated.

Also, the Gorman's on Denton road isn't connected to Gorman's in Fenham, they're 2 completely separate businesses.

At least they've built a car park next to it now though, although there's bound to still be pricks coming to an abrupt unindicated halt in the middle of the road so they can waddle off to get their chips, just the second I'm driving behind them
