MrsSE and I are going away for a three day weekend and our usual dogsitter has decided they're not available - anyone got a recommended kennels? Or a trusted dogsitter?

We're based in Thornaby, the dates are the 15th-17th August, and she's a 7 year old (ish) Staffie. Also happens to be the softest dog I've ever met...

Family run place called Carahill where the dogs are treated as part of the family. Not your typical kennels, but the dogs love it as they get to run round.

It's a farm just outside Seamer: 01642 711794

Ta chaps - however, they quite abruptly told MrsSE that they were closed. Whether it was for the day, or forever, she wasn't inclined to enquire further...

Oakwood Kennels Richmond (next to Scotch Corner) Martin L is a fellow car enthusiast and comes on this forum. He drives an Esprit 350 and also has a +2 Elan Project. Runs and owns a lovely kennels in a brilliant setting. He knows his stuff when it comes to dogs and Lotus.

Cheers Mike

Just realised I never got back on this topic, being as I am an absent-minded pillock.

Thanks for all the recommendations chaps, will be seeing about them later this year... ended up getting the neighbours in last time.
