Check out Tyreleader and Oponeo - even Michelin and Continenal are <£50 each in that size with options around £35 so I'd go new to be honest as any savings are likely to be minimal. I've got 2 part worn 205 60 15 and 4 part worn 245 45 18 but not much use to you I'm afraid.

Just buy new. Not expensive if you shop around. False economy buying part worn winter tyres.

Not sure your right saying that, for instance I can get a pair of Goodyear Ulragrip 8 with 5-6mm tread for £25 each. These get a very good review. If I was to buy new they would cost about £70 each.

If I was to go for an unknown brand ie Goodride it will cost £35 each and I know which tyres I would rather be on.

Remember winter tyre manufacturers recommend they are changed at 4mm, hence most of them have a wear indicator at this point. A tyre with 5-6mm tread remaining is already 50% worn or more at this point. £50 a corner plus fitting for Michelins or Continentals seems a bargain to me.

Oponeo and Tyreleader - Vredestein from £42, Goodyear £49, Conti £50, Michelin £51 on Oponeo, tyreleader similar when I looked earlier. I agree, ignore the non premium brands though.

Why does it have to be a local company? We have this thing called the Internet now where you can buy items online and have them delivered to your home or local tyre fitter. Much cheaper than buying from your local garage.

I buy mine online from those links already mentioned.

EDIT: also try camskill and mytyres

Internet, never heard of it tongue out

Know Camskill well.

I was hoping they were local companies as there is no delivery or fitting charges otherwise I will have to add delivery and £10 per tyre fitting, just trying to keep costs down

Camskill charge for delivery but Oponeo and Tyre Leader don't.
