Popped into Halfords when I was in the Team Valley as it was suggested they might do suitable wing-mirrors for the Marlin.

After a quick search I asked someone working there, and said :

"Hi, I have a kit-car..."
"I know you do, hello Stefan"
" , oh hello Dave"

(so glad of name badges - although it's a bit dodgy them having your surnames on )

Expect a report on my findings at Westgate Road tommorrow

and yes, I'm very bored!

I popped into MotorWorld (The world of Max Muppet) to get some solid tyre valves for the new wheels. Two of the attendants were chatting quietly but obviously about me. Now I can't resist things like this so I went over to them to ask for help finding what I wanted. Said one to the other 'See the coat’ I had my PH pub jacket on. The conversation went on to their recent visit to Croft where they there had been a PH group and wasn't that a nice light blue Noble. That was my first non-PH occasion where someone recognised me as a PHer. Pity it was in such a Max Muppet place though.

Do you think there should be some obscure hand gesture we could do to disclose our identity?
I was thinking something that wouldn't get easily confused with the coffee beans hand jive.

As this site is Piston Heads, I've thought of a piston motion with your hand, against your head - the forehead will do.

I can't see a problem with this

Adam popped into Ikea a while back with his parents (I'm assuming it was his folks anyway). I could see their look of dis-approvement when he told them I was from Pistonheads.

When he popped over to say hello properly I really wanted to do a stupid handshake to cement his parents opinion of us

But I didn't.

Blast!

lol - I have to admit, it was a bit of a shock!

still, can't beat a bit of banter about bodging wing mirrors, bits of motorbikes and peugeot diesel engines!!

(for the record, I'm back at the team valley branch full time now - got out of south shields!)
