Has anyone actually been caught speeding through these works? Can the cameras pick up your front reg plate when its dark and you have your headlights on?

Apparently they were switched off for the past 6 months, only been turned on in the last month or so, tts.

Yes, there's two parts to the camera. One is the camera and the other is an IR spotlight which lights your car up at night.

Anyone else notice that the speed limit changes between the camera's? Going south from newcastle to team valley it changes from 30 - 40 in between the camera's. So what's your average supposed to be then? 35? :-)
