Can anyone recommend somebody decent for a watch repair and service in the Newcastle area?

Depends on what sort of watch - if its a high end one then I would say Berrys or Northern Goldsmiths.

Otherwise there is a place on Northumberland st, pretty much opposite Haymarket. You go down Vine lane and its on the right and you go upstairs. Cheap and the guy seems to know his stuff. Used him for a tag before. Forgotten the name of it though.

Cheers, I'll have a look for the guy on northumberland st. It's for 2, one is a pusher repair on tag carrera and also a service on an old 1950's leonidas chrono.

I have just had my Breitling repaired at the watch repair centre at 6 Old Eldon Square.
They are Rolex trained and Omega certified. Great service and a fraction of the price of the manufacturer

They are very good. I use them to service my Tag. Sensibly priced and local rather than sending the watch away for a long time.
