Exhaust / Custom in the Sunderland Area

As per title, i have a SAAB 93 Aero, the pre cat is shagged and after much trawling the only option appears to be aftermarket, anyone recommend somewhere to get a 3 inch downpipe and stainless steel system made

AAS in Newburn if you can stomach the waiting time or try Spanner Monkeys in Washington but they can't bend 3" so it'll be made in pieces.

Ive emailed spanner monkeys, see what they say. I cant get on the website of the other ones as no access to pc etc and needs flash. Ill give them a go tommoroe though

Speak with Stan at Stans Autos on Commercial road South Shields

He has done quite a few custom exhaust jobs latley and I am sure he would be able to sort you out

Thanks, had work done yourself there?

Im going to see spanner monleys and get a firm price, they reckon they can do a replaement downpipe and sports cat at the standard size for in the region pf 250

I have had quite a bit work done on mine.....replaced head bolts with Studs. Just got it back after having a Aquamist Water Meth kit installed, and he has worked on the exhaust on mine quite a bit.
His own car is a Supercharged Mercedes S63 pumping out 700BHP so its worth a visit just to see that

Don't know if you've got this sorted now. But exhaustafix in Darlington are very good. I had a set of stainless de-cats made for my Monaro. Did a quality job and lifetime guarantee too.

Well i have it booked in with Spanner Monkeys on Wednesday, just a standard 2.5 inch downpipe and sports cat.

Ill report back once done.

So job done, nice people and downpipe and sports cat plus middle section all replaced, sounds much better and has stopped the boomy noise.

However it has not sorted the rattle when cold (i thought the cat was the only issue) this disapears when engine is hot. Im stumped, the guy at spanner monkeys reckons it could be the tensioner or the oil pump but deffo not exhaust related as its just been replaced.

Any one have any ideas?
