B6277 from Alston to Middleton-in-Teesdale is running a lot of one lane roadworks for the next few weeks. I'll need to amend the route which is a right bugger as that's one of my favourite stretches of road anywhere.

Aww man, that really is a shame, genuinely one of the best roads in the North East, and personally, I think I prefer it over the A686 at times.

You could consider the A689 going past Kilhope then hop off and take road to Hexham via Allendale. Depends where you want to end up though. From there you could use the roads around Blanchland / Edmunbyers / Stanhope. Just a suggestion fella. smile

Bit of misinformation, I was told it's going to be closed which it is at the end of March for two weeks but I've looked into it and (hopefully) isn't too bad. Looks like part is reduced to one lane due to the bad recent weather causing a landslide next to it. I've emailed Durham County Council to find out exactly where on the road it is and how long the one lane lasts. If it's only a short distance we should be OK

Just broke my phone so I need to send it for repairs, it's also my sat at so hopefully I'll have it back in time. I do have a farming as well and I can use a programme called tyre to upload routes onto it. I'm hoping I don't need to do that as its a bit of a pain to do

Sun Inn so I thought, originally it was Morrisons @ Barny castle but it was said to be a bh to get out of.

Definitely Sun Inn, I'll update the map properly tomorrow afternoon/evening. Meeting from nine, leave about half nine I reckon. If anyone wants my mobile number just in case running late message me for it.

Ouch, quite an early start seeing as it takes at least an hour just to the meeting point for me. I'll try my best to get there as it sounds like it'll be a laugh.
