Hi there.
I'm organising a stag do to Newcastle Upon tyne.
Accommodation wise, a twin room setup at a Premier Inn seems reasonable. There is one on the Quayside (favouring) and one located on New Bridge Street (central).
We're doing a few activities which are a short drive from either, but we hope to get a meal or two and a night out in on the Friday/ Saturday nights. Not having much of a local knowledge of the good pubs/ areas to go to, where would be best to go and in relation to that, best Premier Inn to be based out of?
I get the impression that the Quayside has a fair few pubs and restaurants?
Also, any recomendations for a mini bus operator? Need to get around with ~12 of us.

The Quayside is a good location. The bars around there are nice although not as busy with other parts of Newcastle becoming more popular. You can't go wrong though as Newcastle is not the biggest city so it's just a small walk to go to other drinking areas if you're not feeling the quayside vibe.
Pubs is a hard one without knowing your tastes.
My favourites are spread out over different areas which isn't ideal for you. The Free Trade Inn,
Tilleys, Town Wall, The Forth, The Telegraph, etc.
For a quick visit I'd say you should stick to the central station area which is very popular now. You have Tokyo if you like cocktails and big prices, Revolution for vodka, there's a Spoons for cheap beer and a load of bars in between so if you don't like one place, move on.
As for bus companies, I'm not too sure. There's Pheonix taxi's based out of Blyth (about 10 miles from Newcastle) but I know they are a big outit and do mini busses and large busses.

If you're going to stay at a Premier Inn you might appreciate this one.
Beautiful building, newly refurbished. Right next door is The Gate - cinema / bar complex. Next door to that is the Bigg Market, famous drinking hellhole.
I would advise walking 3 mins East to Monument and then strolling down Grey Street stopping in bars on the way to Dean street and then Quayside.

Yes they do and I'd expect plenty of change from a tenner on drinks for two with nuts & crisps.Here's a website that may be useful.
