We can easily organise an additional run in a few weeks for those who cant make it or when the weather improves.. I mean when did we have weather like this in March before?,Some of the members cars, and mine is one of them, are simply geared towards summer motoring and are no fun whatsover in the winter. Theres not enough runs anyway... so I cant see people whinging about more outings.

Froggie, closest to Redcar would be the Stokesley roundabout heading to Grt Broughton on the B1257. We should be at that roundabout at approx 12.00. Failing that we'll be at Helmsley till 2.00pm. Hope to see you there.

What car are you coming in?

Nice to see you all. Thanks for a great day, and especially to Bob for all the organisation. After all the worry, the weather couldn't have been nicer.

Eh up all

Great day enjoyed by Dan (snored on the way home!!!), Chris (I think who didn't snore eheheh) and I.

Great route Bob, I'll be doing that again in the summer

We had a blast from Hemsley to Sutton bank - glad to know the LS1 is running Ok

Nice to meet some more folk and put names (handles) to faces.

For those that may be interested the car did 23.5 mpg.

See ya soon (with body work and egine tune in order)

Richard

It was great to meet up with everyone today, although unfortunately I had to go off home early, as my son declared himself travel sick en route to Stokesley.

I'll hopefully get the hot starting (?) problem sorted, plus a supply of sick bags, and play a full part in the next run.

Jagsy: go to Fotango.com, create an account, upload your pictures to there. Then click on picture, click 'get a link', copy the link and paste it into a Pistonheads post. Even I can do it, so it must be simple...

Thanks all (especially jagsy) for a great day out (of the freezing cold garage).
I don't think the weather could have been better, and it was almost surreal going over Blakey Ridge between those snow banks!
Anyone any idea what had happened to that Mondeo driver?
Looked like he'd had a little 'moment'.

Good to see a nice range of cars, a lot of the time was spent with the windows down to enjoy the noises of the countryside, such as thundering 'sixes and V8's.
Wonderful.

Had a great day out yesterday, and always nice to meet new people, and put faces to names.

Big thank you to Bob for all the efforts to ensure the run happened.

The noise was great from all the cars as we drive through the snow banks, especially with the roof off!

Must coe out with you all again, and next time i will ensure that i have a full set of the directions with me as those who followed me past Goatland will testify, i need all the help i can get..

Good to meet all you guys, great fun and some very nice cars too. I had anticipated getting left behind by some of the exotic machinery, but my fears thankfully were unfounded...

The drive back was "interesting" though, some tosser in a Punto appeared to nearly drive into the crash barrier on the central reservation after hogging the right hand lane for god knows how long, and then some knacker in a white Astra pulled out in front of me with little warning, then decided to drive right behind me after I'd passed flashing his lights!!

Next time I'll follow someone who knows where they are going

I've got some pics, I'll try and get them put up later on.

That means, next time don't follow me...

God only knows what that Punto was upto, but thought i better just hang back a little to avoid the potential debris.

Nice little rocket ship that diesel Skoda (something i never thought i would say in public!).

If you have any pictures of my mucky motor, i would be interested in getting a copy.

Great day out! Thanks Bob.
The run to Helmsley would've been a bit more 'interesting' if it hadn't been for the Silver Lemon and the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' that maintained a steady 30 along the valley
That run up Blakey was fanastic; the sound coming off those banks of snow was fantastic. They must have been about 10 feet tall weren't they?
Anyone see the guy in the motorhome just over halfway up? He was hanging out of the doorway with his family, giving it big for every car that passed.
Shame I had to leave at Sleights but combination of things meant I had to get home at a reasonable time.
Good to meet new faces too.
Cheers all.

Thanks for a good day Bob.

Had to bail out as you lot headed for Goatland, as I was down to 4 lts of petrol !

We caught up with the gang as you thrashed across the moors. We stopped to take a pic, and could hear the exhaust noises from about 5 miles away. Could just see Wendys Elise, in amongst the snow drifts. (Easy to spot with the yellow stripe).

Would be a nice run in mid summer, with a stop at the Lion Inn for a cooling shandy.....

See you next time around.
