Corsa VXR info

Thinking of getting a Corsa VXR on an 11 plate, with 37K miles
Just wondering what they are like to own, service costs etc.. and which of the main dealers you trust to service etc..

any info appreciated

We had an 11 plate facelift in Arden blue on 17s for the better ride from new for about 2yrs

It only covered about 4K in that time as it was the Mrs' ... Bought from Bristol St on Scotswood and they looked after it also for servicing

Running costs weren't too bad, averaged around 24mpg overall from mostly inner city driving, servicing was barely more than a normal Corsa

Would I have another - No ... Not becuase I didn't like it or wasn't capable but more the image they have now they're cheaper and more plentiful on the used market

I owned a NURBURGRING edition for 3 years. Servicing and running costs were very reasonable and I believe a pretty underrated car. I'd be weary of buying even a lightly modified one though. Check gearbox for signs of wear as this is the weak point. As is the engine if as much as mildly remapped. If it were me again, I'd probably be looking at a used Clio 200 or Fiesta ST is funds allow.
