I wasn't going to mention it! I take it you got back OK then, how does the car seem?
Cars can be repaired mate, just glad you are OK.
It's as if I never learn, I've had scary moments in the wet before but I never seem to take it in despite knowing exactly what I done wrong, too much power too early as if it's dry. Cars can be repaired mate, just glad you are OK.
Car ran OK home, was some unusual rattles but I'm hoping it's just the exhaust. Didn't pull in any direction, just ran straight and felt firm still and despite the extra noise from the exhaust the engine sounded fine so fingers crossed it's all just a bit cosmetic. Can't really afford a massive bill but at the same time don't want to use my insurance
Like I say mate as long as you're OK that's the main thing. We all make mistakes. I think that little incident slowed us all down a wee bit for the rest of the trip. Get it fixed and get out on the next one. It was an usual way of saving weight I'll give you that.
Not surprised you were cold in that caterham, you certainly made me appreciative of the relative luxury of the Z lol

Great run home - Paul seemed to be having fun on those hairpins on the way back!
I got back and gave the car a damn good wash and realised the reason it'd been running hot all day was that the fans hadn't been kicking in properly. Dismantled the relay and resoldered a duff joint, job done.
Hope everything works out ok with the MX5.

Bodywork damaged as you could see when we were there, wing mirror, passenger window, aerial, bent mid-brace (easily bent back, looks like it tried to eat too much field), looks like the alignment was just pushed out of position. He did say it might be one of the arms holding it in place and probably will be as one of them in particular bends incredibly easily when nudged but he said it's very easily put back into shape. All in all not too bad, it's just taking a while as AK have had a lot of people crashing MX-5's recently and the bodyshop is massively busy.
They got a salvage car in shortly after mine got dropped off as well which they are turning into a race car and coincidentally is the same colour as mine so one or two bits are being swapped over then the paint job is being done.
