Sorry, but 'simply' fitting a new fanbelt onto my car has
led to other problems, like not starting (just a relay click) - must have disturbed a wire or something.
So I'll try to sort it tomorrow.
Have a nice day all.

Oh dear Graham, one of these days your car will behave and you'll get to come along.

It's frustrating Bob, as I'm out and about in it practically every day.
The fanbelt went as I'd almost reached York.
I'm sure the new one I've been given is too short, though the number is the same as the old.
There is so little room to do anything under the bonnet,
and clearances are so tight. As you'll probably know, what should be a straightforward job is a real pain.
I'd also like to have all the wiring ripped out of this car and make a fresh start !

Not sure whether Dexy's going to make it either as his clutch appears to be slipping.

On the other hand, I should be there, for a change! Got a day pass from me Julie, just got back from a 50-mile shakedown cruise (yes, I know what time it is ) in the TVR... all I have to do now is prise myself off the mattress at ridiculous o'clock and away we go...

Can only find three £1 coins...

Just a quick note to once again thank Bob for organising the Buttertubs run yesterday - pity about the pea soup mist on the tops, but at least the afternoon was better.
Sorry if I held anyone up on the way to Brimham Rocks but my wife isn't very good on the twisty stuff, plus we did get held up behind quite a few Sunday drivers (not to mention th motorhome over Buttertubs) - personally I though the route was great, I've now managed to get all the cows**t washed off!!

Yup

Was a nice run, just a shame he hadn't organised any sun for the morning!

Whose was the maroon 450? - was behind it on the A1 for a bit on the way back from Ripon autojumble.

Thought a wave from a micra may be a little disconcerting, so I'll do it now

i the clutch was slipping when booted at 3000 rpm ,thought no it carnt be , put a new clutch in ,had flywheel skimmed last back end , new master and slave cylinder put on this year.so what the hell would it be ,any way had a look in bellhousing just to make sure there was nothing untoward ie no oil flying about !clean as a bell.took the new slave cylinder off had a look in there seemed ok put the lot back together bleed the system ,took her out yesterday did some high rev changing no probs so far all i can think of must have been an air bubble floating around .i be there on the next run, promise ,missed the first 2 already.
cheers neil

Yes, but we WERE at Croft.

Glad the clutch is ok.
It's a dirty word for me.
Wasn't so much what I got charged for mine, as the damage they did to the car.

Hi Mawds,

It was me in the 450, If you had waved I would have waved back (honest!!)

Enjoyed the day out and the variety of weather conditions. Thanks for organising it Bob.

Hopefully catch up at the next Shafto's.
